Re-Entry

05. 05. 2021

“Re-Entry” was a video projection within a fort installation at the on-site park located at Hillside School in Berkeley, California.

Fabric, thread, glue, found objects, and video projection.

This installation discusses re-entering a post-COVID world through a compilation of crowded imagery juxtaposed alongside spaces of calming closeness tied to childhood joys. Collectively, the installation distorts the line between fear, longing, unease, and joy. The video is small, so the viewer may experience the moment of being in a crowded space with less intimidation and more child-like wonder. By making this installation, I wish to comfort post-COVID anxieties through the use of small space and reinforce confidence in navigating our transformed world.
